The Eucharist and the Super Bowl

Do you remember Fr. Andrew’s homily last Sunday? He called us Catholics weird! No kidding! Indeed we are, especially us Knights. We actually believe that the tiny host and a cup of wine are in reality the Body and Blood, the Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God. We Knights even work extra hard to promote this belief. The world thinks we are crazy.

Well, as you may know, this is Super Bowl week and we have a special guest today via YouTube to help us celebrate. You may know that Harrison Butker is a renowned Catholic and Knight and Kansas City Chief, and a Super Bowler! Most of the world would probably think him crazy too if they watched this video, but what do they know? Harrison, Grant (his college friend), and we Knights know that the real “Super Bowl” is getting to heaven through God’s love.

Let’s watch the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRFqqP5D0_Q

Let me ask a shameless favor from all of you. Will you please pray for Jill and I as our wedding is in just 2 days on Saturday? Dutch and Kathy tenBroek, our mentors, wrote this prayer.

Lastly, let us pray the Blessed Michael McGivney prayer.
