Lecturer’s report February, 2022, by Greg Brown

Lent is just around the corner. By our next meeting we will be working our way through lent. We will have one of our Lenten Dinners under our belts, literally and figuratively. So what should a guy do for Lent?

Folks often give up things for Lent, which is good. But Knights do things so let’s do something for Lent that brings us closer to Jesus Christ. Here are a few suggestions.

Sign up for the Holy Spirit Men’s Group Saint Study. It begins next Monday, February 14 at 6:20 to 7:45 AM.

Consider going to Man Morning 6:03 at Nativity’s Parish Hall every Tuesday morning (except Feb 22) from 6:03 to 7:30. Chad Pirotte leads the discussion about the Gospel of Matthew. It runs for 10 weeks.

Men Under Construction is happening at Ascension on Saturday, March 5th. This year’s MUC has perhaps its most famous speaker yet, Jesus himself; well, the actor who played Jesus in the Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel. Go to menunderconstruction.org for details. There is usually a Holy Spirit contingent that sits together.

Of course we Knight’s have the Lenten dinners to work at and offer up as a holy prayer to God. We have lots of opportunities to participate and we need lots of help.

Please consider these and other opportunities to grow closer to Jesus this Lent!
