Consecration to St. Joseph

Last month I invited all Knights to consecrate themselves to St. Joseph as a new year’s resolution for 2021. After all, Pope Francis recommends it. One again, I want to encourage everyone to devote themselves to St. Joseph, especially since Lent is beginning in 1 week. What a great way to experience Lent!

Following Fr. Donald H. Calloway is probably the best way to go about consecration to St. Joseph. His book, Consecration to St. Joseph – The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father, is available at Trinity House book store for $15.00. It is a 33 day program, and it is recommended to end the program on one of St. Joseph’s holydays. The perfect time to begin is February 15 so that your 33 days is completed on his feast day, March 19th.

Let us pray together the Litany of St. Joseph. I will lead. Pray this litany for the next few days asking St. Joseph if you should do the consecration.

O God, in your ineffable providence you were pleased to choose Blessed Joseph to be the spouse of your most holy Mother; grant, we beg you, that we may be worthy to have him for our intercessor in heaven whom on earth we venerate as our Protector: You who live and reign forever and ever.
